Bahama Butter is an mostly indica from The Plant Stable and can be cultivated indoors, outdoors and greenhouse (Where the plants will need a flowering time of ±65 days) The Plant Stable's Bahama Butter is/was never available as feminized seeds.
Overview: F1 seeds of Bahama Butter were made available to the public in 2023. Before its release Bahama Butter had been tested by many home growers and commercial farms. Well over 300 seeds were tested with documentation. The Plant Stable did a 150 seed pheno-hunt in collaboration with Oregonic Farms. This is where the “breeder cut” #59 was selected by The Plant Stable, Wyatt Frank and Donny Harkleroad. The breeder cut was picked for its overwhelming aroma, yield, structure, and color. It has proven to be a commercial powerhouse fetching high THC numbers with all the bag appeal and stank a consumer could want. It has also shown to be resilient to pests and pathogens in outdoor environments. When the “breeder cut” was ran in Oregon and California’s (2023) outdoor season it did exceptionally well compared to “proven” cultivars.
Aroma: When pheno-hunting this strain the aromas can range. Most phenos are reminiscent of their parts sharing different combinations of garlic, meat, and citrus. You can find some truly unique phenos that are reminiscent of tangy orange beef. Anyone who buys seeds has a great chance to find those funky meat terps with a backend of citrus.
Structure: Most structures have been on the taller side. The internodal spacing has been tight across the board. Bud structure has fallen on the GMO or cookies side. Some phenos have shown to be huge yielders while others follow the “forum cut” structure and yield. Stretch has been minimal on most phenotypes. There have been plenty of squatter plants, but they are harder to find.
When pheno-hunting Bahama Butter The Plant Stable and other "testers" observed a 10% herm rate which shouldn't be much of a surprise with heavy GG4 and GMO linage. It also shouldn’t be much of a surprise that this cross has big THC potential when looking at the gene pool its parents were selected from. As of late 2023 Bahama Butter (flower) is available at dispensaries across Oregon. The "breeder cut" will be released in early 2024.
