Zoap is an indica / sativa from Unknown or Legendary and can be cultivated indoors and outdoors Unknown or Legendary's Zoap is only available as feminized seeds.
Zoap is a unique hybrid cannabis strain loaded with THC and exotic terpenes that give the strain an unmistakable fruity and "soapy" aroma. Bred in Oakland from a culmination of popular strains such as Zkittlez, Zoap is quickly gaining popularity among both medical and recreational cannabis users.
Zoap is a hybrid cannabis strain from DEO Farms. Now a respected name in the US genetics scene, DEO's (short for Deep East Oakland) career as a grower took root when he was just 15 and started growing weed to sell at school. He inherited OG (which he knew as Super Kush at the time) from his uncles as a teenager and gradually built up a career growing, and eventually breeding, a variety of other hybrids.
DEO started making a name for himself by growing his uncles' OG, Hindu Kush, and a unique cut of Granddaddy Purple. To accommodate the size of his operation, DEO eventually set up a large-scale grow space in his basement, where he recalls recluding while his friends partied.
DEO eventually came to fame on Instagram by doing pheno hunts of strains like GMO, Cookies & Cream, and OZ Kush—the latter of which really took his reputation to the next level. It's from OZ Kush that DEO bred Pink Guava, which would form the genetic base for his other famous strains, including RS11 (Rainbow Sherbet) and Zoap.
Zoap was created from a unique line of genetics that combines Zkittlez, OG, Pink Guava, and Sherbet lines. Unlike many seed banks, Deo Farms has openly disclosed the procedure he followed in order to create Zoap, which we will look over below.
Zoap was created by inbreeding Rainbow Sherbet, a unique strain stemming from Sunset Sherbet (an indica-dominant cross of GSC and Pink Panties) and Pink Guava (a cross of two unique OZ Kush phenotypes). OZ Kush is a lesser-known hybrid stemming from Zkittlez and OG.
Deo Farms popped a total of 100 Rainbow Sherbet seeds and, after growing them all out, chose female #16 for its delicious aromas and great growth traits. They then took this female and crossed it with pollen from a hardy Rainbow Sherbet male. Of the resulting seeds, they popped 100, and phenotype #21 became the Zoap known and loved by smokers today.
DEO's Zoap is a clone-only strain that's extremely rare. Those growers lucky enough to get their hands on Zoap clones likely did so by attending one of DEO's special Clone Drops, where he sells out a limited number of his clones to the community. Given the rarity of this strain, there's virtually no information available on its growth traits or physical characteristics.
From pictures, we can see that Zoap takes on beautiful dark-purple hues toward the end of its flowering cycle. Its buds boast a wonderful mix of colors, including bright green calyxes with deep violet hues and bright orange pistils. Thanks to its high resin production, Zoap buds shine with a frosty, glistening coat of trichomes.
Zoap is a really potent hybrid with a ton of terpenes and cannabinoids. While there are no lab tests available for this strain, reports from users and dispensaries suggest Zoap contains up to 22% THC and a mix of caryophyllene, humulene, and limonene. The strain's unique terpenes give it a strong aroma with upfront fruity notes of citrus, apple, and apricots coupled with a chemical twist—oddly reminiscent of the smell of fruity perfume and, you guessed it, soap.
Zoap's effects set in very quickly. After just one or two tokes, users report feeling an instant sense of mental euphoria that's quickly followed by a warm, relaxing body buzz. Within minutes, users feel chatty, giggly, hungry, and happy—the perfect mindset for weekends, parties, or quiet weeknights. Some users may find Zoap's physical effects to be sleep-inducing in higher doses, but most find Zoap to be a fairly well-balanced hybrid and praise it for producing a nice state of physical relaxation without couch-lock.
Recreational users love Zoap for its high concentrations of cannabinoids and terpenes. Because it stimulates the mind while simultaneously relaxing the body, Zoap is a really versatile strain that can be enjoyed:
• In social settings (such as parties, barbecues, or festivals)
• While camping or otherwise enjoying the great outdoors
• When relaxing after a workout
• During the day on weekends or holidays
Medical users are also very fond of Zoap, finding relief from a variety of symptoms in the strain's mental euphoria and physical stone.
Like all high-potency cannabis strains, Zoap can produce unwanted side effects in some people, especially inexperienced users with a low tolerance for THC. Some of the negative side effects of Zoap reported by users include anxiety, paranoia, dizziness, and dry mouth and eyes.
DEO's Zoap isn't available in seed form. Instead, it is only available as a clone, usually through DEO's exclusive clone drops. Hence, there are very few people growing this strain, and little information is available regarding its growth traits and yields.
Zoap looks to be a vigorous hybrid with a solid balance of sativa and indica genetics. It produces strong branches and thin-fingered leaves. Typical of a modern hybrid, Zoap develops beautiful dark hues as she matures. Zoap's flowers boast the length and shape of a sativa mixed with the dense structure of an indica, and develop a beautiful palette of colors as they mature. Come harvest time, Zoap flowers have beautiful green calyxes with dark purple tips, speckled with bright orange pistils. Unfortunately, the flowering time and yields for this strain aren't known.
Zoap has gained a lot of popularity, especially in North America, for its powerful high, exotic terpenes, and well-balanced effects. Combining a wild mix of Zkittlez, OG, Pink Guava, and Sherbet genetics, Zoap by DEO Farms is a direct descendant of some of America's most beloved strains.
