Parabellum Genetics Description

White Truffle is a powerful savory cannabis strain bearing pungent earthy aromas with hints of garlic, gas, and skunk. Originating in the US around 2019, this hard-hitting variety quickly piqued the interest of both recreational and medical cannabis users with its bold scent and potent yet balanced effects. Keep reading to learn more about the origins, effects, and growth traits of White Truffle.

Strain History

White Truffle is a cannabis strain attributed to two different breeders: Fresh Coast Seed Co. and Parabellum Genetics.

Fresh Coast Seed Co. is a low-profile cannabis brand from Michigan. Rumor has it that White Truffle is actually a unique phenotype of Fresh Coast's Gorilla Butter. Based in northern Michigan, Fresh Coast Seeds claims to be committed to growing its strains in true living soil, which the brand's head grower suggests is crucial to the development of their unique aromas and flavors. In 2019, Fresh Coast Seed Co. won Gold at the Detroit High Times Cannabis Cup for its vape cartridges.

Parabellum Genetics, on the other hand, is an even more low-profile brand with little more than an Instagram account and a SeedFinder page. Apparently led by a grower known only as KC, Parabellum Genetics has close to 60 different strains to its name, among them a unique variety of White Truffle.

Genetic Lineage

White Truffle can be traced to different genetic lineages depending on what you read, who you believe, and what variety you're smoking. Below we'll outline the genetics of the two most popular White Truffle varieties.

White Truffle (aka Gorilla Butter F2) by Fresh Coast Seed Co. is rumored to be a unique phenotype of Gorilla Butter, another Fresh Coast strain bred in 2019. A euphoric and uplifting hybrid created by crossing Peanut Butter Breath and GG4, Gorilla Butter boasts an earthy and nutty aroma reminiscent of Peanut Butter Breath enhanced with pungent undertones of Glue. Fresh Coast's White Truffle preserves some of Gorilla Butter's unique notes of earth, nuts, and butter, but it also boasts savory onion and garlic overtones. Its effects are also more relaxing than Gorilla Butter, which is known to produce a more social, uplifting euphoria.

White Truffle by Parabellum Genetics, on the other hand, is a completely different breed of cannabis derived from 95 Dead, another Parabellum strain, and Platinum Kush Mints by Inhouse Genetics. Unfortunately, Parabellum Genetics is notoriously low-key about its strains, so there isn't much information available about 95 Dead. Platinum Kush Mints, on the other hand, is a super-frosty indica-dominant hybrid resulting from crossing Platinum OG Kush and Kush Mints by Seed Junky.

Physical Characteristics

Neither of the two White Truffle varieties described above are readily available in seed or clone form. As a result, not many people are presently growing this strain, which means there isn't much information about its physical appearance and grow traits. However, we've gathered all of the information possible to describe what you might expect if you're lucky enough to get your hands on a White Truffle clone or seed.

While always described as a hybrid, some indica-dominant traits shine through in White Truffle's appearance. Plants tend to produce dark green foliage with big, fat-fingered leaves. White Truffle plants typically reach moderate heights, though this largely depends on the environment in which they’re grown. Come the flowering stage, White Truffle plants quickly develop thick colas at their tips, and smaller yet extremely frosty and well-structured buds at their lower nodes. The relatively fast flowering time usually attributed to this strain once again suggests that White Truffle is somewhat indica dominant.

Come harvest time, White Truffle plants are typically loaded with dense, well-structured flowers with a milky sheen due to their high resin production. White Truffle buds boast big calyxes and long, wispy amber pistils and, in the right conditions, can develop beautiful purple hues that only add to their visual appeal.

Properties/Effects

White Truffle is an extremely potent cannabis variety. It is predominantly rich in THC, producing up to 25% of the cannabinoid alongside only trace amounts of CBD and other cannabinoids. Its unique aroma, which combines a savory, earthy smell with notes of toasted nuts, butter, and onions, is the result of a unique combination of terpenes—predominantly caryophyllene, limonene, and humulene—and other aromatic chemicals. Reminiscent of other savory strains, White Truffle's aroma also exhibits a lingering skunky kick.

As is to be expected of such a high-potency strain, White Truffle produces very strong effects that kick in almost immediately. Prepare to experience a surge of mental euphoria and clarity that'll elevate your mood and purge your mind of any worries, putting you in a relaxed and happy trance. Soon after, you may notice White Truffle's effects rush over your entire body, producing a warm, tingling body stone—ideal for relaxing after a long, hard day or for addressing both physical and mental ailments.

Uses

White Truffle is a popular strain among both medical and recreational cannabis users in the US. And given its unique aromas, potency, and well-balanced effects, it's not hard to see why.

According to reviews and reports, recreational cannabis users enjoy White Truffle for its uplifting mental euphoria and physical relaxation. Many report using this strain in the following ways:

• To relax after work

• While listening to music or watching movies

• At parties or get-togethers

• While doing chores

• To spark creativity

White Truffle is also popular among medical cannabis patients. Medical users may enjoy this strain for its uplifting effect as well as its relaxing, warming physical stone. According to different online review sites, some medical marijuana patients use White Truffle to address:

• Pain

• Stress

• Anxiety and depression

• Inflammation

• ADD/ADHD symptoms

Given its potency, White Truffle can cause unwanted side effects in some people (especially those with a low tolerance to THC). Some side effects of this strain include:

• Headaches

• Dizziness

• Dry mouth and eyes

Like all cannabis strains, note that the effects of White Truffle will vary from one person to another. In general, White Truffle is a very balanced strain, allowing users to stay functional and complete chores or basic tasks. Some people, however, may find the strain more relaxing and heavy.

Cultivation/Production

As mentioned above, White Truffle isn't commonly available as a clone or seed, so there's little information regarding its growth traits. From what information is available, it seems White Truffle is a versatile plant that can be grown both indoors and outdoors. It appears relatively resistant to most common pests and pathogens, as well as cold temperatures—the latter of which may trigger White Truffle to take on eye-catching purple hues. However, growers are encouraged to keep this strain out of highly humid conditions that may trigger the growth of mold and bacteria in its dense flowers.

On average, White Truffle plants should be harvest-ready in about 10 weeks and produce modest yields of top-shelf bud, though this will depend on how and where they are grown.

White Truffle — A Delicious Savory Strain Fit for Any Occasion

White Truffle is a strong hybrid with some indica-leaning traits. Attributed to Fresh Coast Seed Co. and Parabellum Genetics, this strain derives from either Gorilla Butter or a 95 Dead and Platinum Kush Mints cross, depending on where you source it. Given its high potency and unique savory onion aroma, White Truffle has become ever more popular among both recreational and medical cannabis users across North America.
