Saffron is a feminized photoperiod strain bred entirely by Purple City Genetics (PCG), one of California’s most respected names in elite cannabis breeding. Created from two standout in-house selections, this indica-leaning hybrid is prized for its heavy resin output, layered terpene profile, and well-balanced yet potent effect. It’s a refined choice that truly shines in the hands of experienced growers.

Saffron brings together Moroccan Peaches and Street Guru, two cornerstone genetics from the PCG catalogue. Moroccan Peaches (Spanish Barbara × Lemon Tree Skorange) earned first place in the rosin category at the 2023 Emerald Cup—one of the industry’s most prestigious extraction competitions. Street Guru, a fusion of Gush Mints and Oreoz, has become a foundational building block across numerous PCG projects thanks to its power and consistency.
