Higher Heights Description

Genetics: a backcross towards Carambola
Funk Doctor is a regular variety from Higher Heights, a breeder from Mendocino, California. This hybrid reinforces the Carambola line to enhance its citrus and tropical fruit terpenes. Its effect is potent, positive and activating, making it suitable for growers looking for tasty, fast-flowering genetics for their own selections.

The cross combines Carambola x Guayaba Rasta. Carambola is a Higher Heights clone originating from (Sunburn x Green Tea) x Brozé. It is one of the breeder’s favorite plants for both smoking and breeding, providing the tropical fruit and citrus profile that defines this line.

Guayaba Rasta already contains 25% Carambola, making this cross a backcross that concentrates Carambola’s influence. The breeder does not provide further details about Guayaba Rasta’s composition or the overall indica/sativa ratio. The goal is to enhance Carambola’s fruity and citrus characteristics within a vigorous hybrid.

Funk Doctor produces medium-sized plants with rapid growth, little foliage and very robust branches. These branches support the flower weight well without requiring extensive trellising.

In cultivation: fast growth and firm branches
Most specimens complete flowering in 58–65 days, while some selections can finish even earlier. This is a short cycle for a hybrid with such a fruity profile and allows indoor growers to plan their cultivation rounds efficiently.

Its rapid growth and medium size make Funk Doctor easy to manage in indoor spaces. The low foliage content reduces manicuring work after harvest, while the strong branches maintain a stable structure during the final weeks, when the flowers gain weight.

As these are regular seeds, growers should reserve space for identifying plant sex and removing males. This format is particularly appealing to those who enjoy hunting phenotypes. The breeder notes that terpene expression in this line varies considerably from plant to plant, making it interesting for selecting a mother according to aroma preferences or for breeding projects.

Flavor and effect: citrus, tropical fruit and energy
The aromatic profile revolves around citrus and tropical fruit inherited from Carambola. Since terpene expression can vary significantly, each phenotype may display a different nuance within this fruity range. The flavor is intense and pronounced, ideal for those who appreciate varieties with a distinctive palate.

The effect is strong and positive, combining motivation and energy in an activating experience. It is a good choice for times of day when you want to remain active. Funk Doctor brings together fast flowering, a pronounced fruity flavor and a stimulating effect in a regular variety suited to selection.
