Barneys Farm Description

We crossed the famous “Barney’s” Pineapple with our Cheese/Skunk #1 with the intention of breeding in to this new variety the essence and flavor of these two delicious strains. The result is an extremely vigourous and stable plant. Mould and disease resistant.
Flowering to a beautiful conclusion in just 55 days. The essence and flavour of Pineapple Chunk is immediately obvious. Its aroma of earthy Cheese X Skunk is backed up by a secondary scent of Pineapple. The taste is delicious and unique. Earthy flavours are underpinned by a strong tasty Pineapple aftershock.

- the plant in flower is smelly as hell, smells like skunk

this is one of the phenotypes I got. this comment relevant to this specific pheno. as other phenos are very different
- Hard to grow. sensitive af for pretty much anything.
- in veg, grow bushy and small, she was the smallest in the tent in veg. when switching to flower she need 3-4 weeks on 12/12 to start flowering and show white hairs. and she stretch really big. ended up the biggest in the tent from 8 plants of same strain.
- flowers are slow to mature, foxtailing, and need at least 75 days of flower to get proper bud-leaf ratio.
- do not get purple from coldness.
- great yields.
- the plant in flower is not that smelly, and smell extremely tropical with hint of skunk
- after cure, taste and smell like pure heaven. earthy-tropical smell, really complex. smokes with after-taste
- the best high that pineapple chunk can offer. feels close to pure sativa. and potent as hell!
- this strain (all of the phenos afaik) are VERY prone to herm.
If you didn't growed yet pineapple chunk, I do recommend it!

- flowers maturing fast, was ready on day 58, I pushed to day 63 anyway
- flowers and fan leaves get purple when the temps are right (16C night, 28C day - totally purple)
- great yields and bud structure
- the plant in flower is extremely smelly! pure skunk smell
- after cure, taste and smell skunky-fruity. no pineapple, but complex smell
- great high. not a 10/10 but complex and powerful high.

We've grown Pineapple Chunk several times, from 3 different orders over the years, and it always comes out great. The most recent seeds may be the best yet. Great smell, density, flavor, and potency.

This is one of the strains that really got me into growing and excited for the future of crosses. I’ve grown this strain from seed over 70 times over a decade of time and the plant is not only very consistent in growth but it’s potency leaves almost nothing left to be desired, this is an absolute monster of a strain and I recommend that any grower grows it Atleast once in their lifetime,

Terpenes range from heavy exodus cheese profiles with hints of pineapple to one of my more recent finds, extremely pineapple in the cure with hints of cheese on the nose during the grow but almost none in the finished product, this is a heavy producer regardless of phenotype and will shine indoors producing nice full resinous buds and if taken outdoors produces yields that will require a few days of trimming.

Be prepared this strain is a monster and there’s a reason I’m here writing this review for it. If you have a pack don’t even waste time, pop those beans and enjoy the ride.

Grown in hydro. Lots of LST. Average 26 kolas coming thru trellis. Truly amazing growth.

9 weeks of flowering, super short plant. Really bad yielder, one of the worst I've grown. The taste is okay, like a creamy pineapple mixed with skunk. High is strong but nothing to write home about. I'll never grow it again seeing how ridiculous the yield was

I have grown 100 of these. Yes I like them. I have grown them both inside and out. Inside under two 600 watt and got some great nuggs. Those were the best smelling as well. When in flower they do best the last three weeks in 55 to 70 degree temps. I have never been able to consistently get the strong skunk smell though. Its a consistant plant though. Not a lot of variance in regards to phenol types. Outside, they will produce some very nice yields. Bushy with golf ball nuggets on the lower branches and solid heavy buds on top. They need lots of support. Its not a very picky plant in regards to nutes. They can take weekly feedings. They will get mold outside in humid climates. Most plants will if they are in 80% humidity. All in all a very generous plant, easy to grow, good smoke, and forgiving. By the way, when you read the THC levels and yield breeders mention...these are best case scenarios. I would recommend this plant. Clones easy too.

My favorite strain to date, great yield, great taste, and great potency Fairly fragile plant that should be supported.

Overall rating 8/10

Fast, easy and productive super narcotic pineapple skunky bud. Stable strain.

Heavy couch lock + brainstorm. Not that gently...

Beautiful plant all round, in my Top 3 favourites all time from this 30 year veteran. Contender for champion of champions on all levels. Another Barney’s bomb !

We planted one seed and for one and an half year we took alive this phenotype thanks to many generations of mothers and clones; some friends grow the same in different places and conditions. The motivation that led us to this choice was the simplicity and versatility of this pineapple chunks phenotype and the vast shade of flavors. The weed has a good funny high, although has a medium tolerance education. The strain is extremely suited for beginners, but considering our pheno come from a single bean selection (no selection).
Posted by GuerrillaRovere on 15-05-2012 02:05
Extremely skunky smell, well suited for SoG and SCRoG, buds will need supported in latter part of flowering. Good commercial strain, very difficult to control odor. This is a Must try strain.

Beautiful grower, intense stench in flowering. Needs lots of attention, but rewards with exceptional resin.
Posted by reyananda on 23-03-2011 05:53
Not a stabilized strain yet!

Some of the phenotypes are growing with something like dna problems in the begin. THey stabilize gradually until they reach the flowering stage, but i think some of them are not starting well (not because of grower’s mistakes).
