NYB originates from Nigerian regional genetics, while Growlersburg comes from Afghan × Hindu Kush (Pure Kush) lineage.
This is genuinely one of the most impressive plants I’ve ever run. She survived my absolutely over-the-top stress-testing gauntlet and came out as the lone female champion—and wow, did she earn that spot.
She’s ridiculously resilient, basically unfazed by grower slipups. Give her food and a passable environment and she takes off with thick stems, huge leaves, and an aggressive root system. Everything about her feels powerful, like strength is her whole personality. Even under tough conditions, she outperformed five other plants and still stacked up big, chunky flowers. She shrugs off drought, tolerates a bit of overwatering, and while she can push back against PM, she might show a couple small spots if another plant nearby is acting as a host.
NYB × 49 loads every branch with dense, bract-heavy buds from top to bottom. In veg she carries that classic, unmistakable old-school dank gas—the kind of smell that instantly makes you say, “Yeah, I’ll take that.” In bloom she settles into a smoother, kush-forward aroma. After curing, she becomes this incredibly creamy kush with soft notes of coffee and earth. The smoke is unbelievably smooth—almost like actual cream.
While the flavor leans kushy, the effect feels distinctly Afghan: clear in the mind, deeply relaxed in the body. It’s like getting wrapped in a blanket with a great book—calm, warm, and very present.
She’s proven herself again and again and will definitely stay in rotation for future breeding work. Her expressions are so uniquely strong that it truly feels like something rare and special worth carrying forward in the gene pool.
