Medical Kush

For my next review I’ve chosen a Indica called Medical Kush because I’m intrigued by his medical values. Spliffseeds sells them by 5 seeds a pack. It’s heritage comes from the Indica Afghan Kush x Skunk no. 1 hybrid. It’s got a sweet fruity taste and a herbal aroma.

Germination of the seeds went well they all came out accept one she died at birth but that’s mother nature sometimes it just don’t work like it should.

At the time they are whit there third couple of leaves I put them in a big 20ltr flowerpot in soil.

I feed my plants Metrop liquid concentrated fertilizer. Metrop is the best organic fertilizer I’ve known. I grow now for about 5 years and of all the liquid fertilizers I’ve used it’s far out the best. It is totally biodegradable so when you smoke your weed you don’t have to be afraid that you tasted the taste of fertilizer . but still you have to rinse you plants two week before harvest to be safe. They also have liquid fertilizer for mother plants.

The third week after germination I started the 12/12 light regime so that they will go in to flowering. I’ve noticed that the Medical Kush grows high in the first week of flowering I had to bend the tops so they wouldn’t grow to close to the lamp. Some plants went as high as 1,40cm I think that’s the sativa part of the cross of the Medical Kush. When I started the 12/12 light regime the plants had a height of about 30cm. Now I know that’s to high it had to be sooner because of the limited space that I have.

In the fourth week of flowering the first flowers came out. Because of the height of the plants I prune them at the bottom so all of the strength of the plant goes to the top where the light is the best. I use a HPS 600 watt light in about 1m². the temperature in the tent is about 30degrees Celsius when the light is on and about 23degrees Celsius when the light is off.

In the sixth week the flowers are looking like real buds and are getting big as well. In the seventh week the plants wend in to second flowering, I think that’s because of the Metrop since I used the Metrop liquid fertilizer my plants wend in to second flowering and some time’s in to the third flowering. I found that amazing the first time I had never seen that before and had to check by my buddy’s that it’s okay.

I’ve you are starting to use Metrop concentrated liquid fertilizer you have to get a PH meter and a E.C. meter because you have to get the PH right of your feed water or else the components are going to react with each other. A tip: you can use concentrated lemon juice to get the PH down and so you keep all the ingredients natural. And it doesn’t give your plants a lemon taste. With a E.C. meter you can keep track of your water values.

Week eight and a half it’s time to harvest and hang it to dry. I’m amazed by how musts the yield is and the buds are huge. The taste of the Medical Kush is at my opinion a little bit fruity and has a strong herbal aroma. When you smoke it it gives you an relaxing experience with a great high I’m impressed by this strain and will grow it again sometime in the near future.

Regards SmokingBarney.

After a few weeks we noticed that the Medical Kush works great for rheumatism. It helps to re-leaves the pain and makes the joints smooth again. I don’t know if it works for everybody but you can give it a try.
