Maui Gold takes its name from the sweet Awesome Pineapples grown on the Lahaina side of West Maui. Lahaina means cruel sun or scorching sun in the Hawaiian language. Speaking to those in the know about the island, this is the best place on the island of Maui to grow dakine Pakalolo. The ancient seat of the Kings of the Hawaiian Islands.
The Maui is a hybrid we used to grow commercially from the early days of the medical cannabis scene in California. Always grown organically to bring out the flavors in the buds. The Maui in the Maui Gold brings you back to that island vibe, with a tropical taste reminiscent of pineapple and old school Killer Green Bud. The Maui was created by our neighboring County of Mendocino, using a Maui Wowie line crossed to an Afghani which had been grown in the back country for many years with great results. Pollinating the Maui Cut with the Maui Wowie male, we hope with time will be a coveted strain. Enjoy this pre-release as it is before we continue the process to perfect the strain. Either working it in to its self or by working other proven Hawaiian lines to impart different facets of truly outstanding Hawaiian derived genetics.
