Indian Landrace Exchange Description

This particular stock of seeds was hand-collected by a member of the Indian Landrace Exchange, in the Northern valleys of the Hindu Kush mountain range. It is a pure indica cultivar that grows naturally in that region, and flowers for a shorter period of time (8-10 weeks). It carries one of the most distinguished terpene profiles, i.e. earthy/deep kushy flavour, with floral to diesel-like tones accompanying it.

Andarab Village is situated in Northern valleys at the foothills of Hindu kush Mountains, the andarab district itself lies in baghlan province of northern afghanistan, which is a much colder and dryer region compared to balkh province. The majority of population is made up of tajik people, which are known as dighans that litrally translates to settled farmers. Tajik people are mostly of iranian origin, who migrated into northern afghanistan via tajikistan and now make up a decent and growing part of the population.

Andarab valley in itself has an extremely diversified climate, where the upper part of the valley remains very cold and harsh during winters with relatively cool summers but not nearly as hot as balkh. The lower part of the valley known as doshi stays mostly warm/moderately hot during summers and somewhat less colder than the upper Valley.Hindu kush although has been part of the hybridized cannabis repertoire for decades but hasn’t been Mapped out region wise to pin it to a specific region in hindu kush, since hindu kush is a vast region bordering with India, pakistan and then Into the afghanistan, it becomes widely important to understand how different regions have different qualitative /quantitative traits to offer.
