I germinated 5 seeds in Rapid Rooter cubes placed in 20oz Solo beer cups with Vermifire. Seeds cracked in 3-5 days and Eldorado loves Vermifire! With Vermifire, no feeding for 30 days, so I played the transplant game until sex at 8 weeks. I got two females, two males and one gimp that I culled. Right around August 15, week eight in their life, pheno #2 showed sex, Phenotype #1 was a little later in showing sex. They were in 10 gallon Smart pots with Vermifire. When they showed sex, I bend at the 1/2 meter mark. Phenotype #2 started to bush out aggressively while phenotype #1 showed more of a compact, vertical Christmas tree growth pattern with chunky bud development. On September 4, 2014, both females were transplanted into 30G Smart Pots filled with Vermifire. No Compacting the Vermifire. Put some Vermifire in the 30G pot, place the root-ball in the pot and fill with Vermifire and DO NOT COMPACT! As you water and the plants grow, the Vermifire root-ball will shrink to about 25G or so...PERFECT! Eldorado LOVES VERMIFIRE and needs the higher nitrogen for the first 6 weeks of flowering. Sow late (June 15), play the transplant game with Vermifire and YOU JUST NEED TO WATER! Get the gals into 30G Smart Pots beginning of September and NO FEEDING FOR 3 WEEKS! After three weeks I gave them a combo shot of veg Fishnure and (0-50-30) Harvest Master bloom boost. Maybe one more shot of bloom boost, probably for the bushy late pheno, but pheno #1 probably will not be fed any more food at all! I still have 2 weeks or more of food in the pot! Middle of October and time to start flushing the 11 week fast Christmas tree pheno #1!
MORE DETAILS:
Phenotype #1, although showing sex later than Phenotype #2, has chunkier bud development through the first 6 weeks of flowering compared to the bushier phenotype #2. However, the bushier phenotype looks to be the longer flowering sibling and will probably finish near December 1. The more compact pheno #1 looks like it will finish in and around 11 weeks...October 31-Nov 7thish.... The pictures I posted are 'REAL TIME' and I am estimating the harvest for each pheno based on my knowledge of Cannabis sativa maturation, the pics I have and when they started flowering...that being right around Aug 10-15, seven to eight weeks from sowng date of June 15.
Phenotype #1 is 42 inches or 1 m in height and Phenotype #2 is 46 inches or 1.2 m in height at the tallest point. Phenotype two really had to stretch a bit and bush out before putting on the buds you see....
I did not do a separate phenotype description as Eldorado appears to be a stable strain and LOVES VERMIFIRE! All the females are vigorous and the only difference is finish in 11, 12, 13, or 14 weeks! My two phenos, although one is more Christmas tree and one more Thai bushy type....They are 1 and 1.2 meters on the bend and 6 weeks into flower, respectively! Again, not enough 'real differences' between my two phenotypes to warrant two phenotype descriptions! NOT NEEDED, they are too similar! All in all, looks to be the 'real deal' Oaxacan landrace sativa and WOW ARE THE FEMALES VIGOROUS! I'll post more photos in a few weeks, around week 9 of flowering and then harvest pics for phenotype #1...waiting until about Dec 1 for Phenotype #2 to finish....
