Manipur Landrace (P1 – First Generation) is a rare 100% pure sativa landrace originating from the remote hills near the Manipur–Myanmar (Burma) border in northeast India. Grown at around 1,500 meters (5,000+ ft.) above sea level, this heirloom variety has been carefully domesticated and preserved over generations by the Tangkhul Naga tribes, resulting in a highly resilient and productive subtropical sativa.

The Eastern Manipur region features lush, evergreen hills, interspersed with alluvial plains shaped by seasonal flooding. With a tropical to subtropical climate, the area receives over 2,000 mm of rainfall during summer and monsoon months, while winters remain mild (10–15°C) with no snow, allowing farmers to cultivate multiple crops year-round. Seeds planted in spring grow tall (10–11 ft.), while late summer and winter crops remain shorter (6–5 ft.) due to shorter vegetative periods.

This Manipur landrace demonstrates exceptional vigor, branching, and mold resistance, making it ideal for outdoor cultivation in tropical and subtropical climates. Plants produce tall, heavily branched colas with small, dense bracts and a striking combination of lush green leaves with purple-blue floral streaks. Flowering occurs over 14–16 weeks outdoors, peaking in December to January, with yields that are among the highest for pure subtropical sativas.
