Additional Information

emeraldo says

Fleur du Mals Durban-Thai HighFlyer x C99 is easy to grow and is also fast to finish, which is an achievement for a sativa with tropical genetics.

The breeders website states the following: "A legendary 1991 Durban-Thai cross by Super Sativa Seed Club, bred with the original pre-2000 Cinderella 99 by Soul. We crossed a selected male to a beautiful 1999 Thaitannic mother by Flying Dutchman to lock down the soaring sativa head and tropical terp profiles. The Durban and Cindy heritages keeps it sane, short and productive indoors or out. For serious sativa lovers, a manageable indoor sativa hybrid with the psychedelic head of outdoor tropical sativas."

DTHF is a poly-hybrid, not a pure sativa. The indica genetics from NL#5 in the C99 and, in a back-cross, from the Skunk #1 in Flying Dutchmans Thai-Tanic, may have shortened the original SSSC Durban-Thai long flowering time and given it vigor. My Fleur du Mal DTHF was earlier and faster to flower and any other long flowering tropical sativa in my grow. It was the first plant in this long-flowering tropical sativa grow to finish. DTHF was harvested on October 23.

Smoke report. Bit of body buzzy, but in the main a haze-like head high: cerebral, energetic, clear-headed. It's the kind of high you can function well on, and maybe even think you're better than normal because of the energy and alertness you're feeling. No impairment. Good concentration. Quick-thinking. Pleasantly uplifting. A bit euphoric. After three months of cure, the smoke was smooth as silk and floral-sweet. I smoked the whole joint, all the way to the end, and enjoyed it all. A very pleasant and enjoyable strain.
