Rinse’s Reserve Description

Cosmic Queen is a rare, long-preserved autoflowering line originally created by Mephisto Genetics and subsequently reproduced and maintained by Rinse Reserve from original Mephisto stock. Rinse’s project is particularly notable because it aims to preserve the original Cosmic Queen line rather than replace it with a selfed reproduction.

Rinse has worked the line through successive generations, with documented F6 reproduction and F7 work underway. In 2024, Rinse stated that he was continuing the project toward greater stability and described the long-term goal as bringing Cosmic Queen closer to an IBL-type level of consistency. He also noted that the F5 generation still displayed considerable phenotypic variation, making continued selection necessary.

A frequently repeated pedigree online describes Cosmic Queen as Space Dawg × Chemdoggin, and a grow report specifically lists this combination for Cosmic Queen F6.

However, because the original Mephisto pedigree is inconsistently documented across secondary sources, the safest catalog description is to identify Space Dawg × Chemdoggin as the reported lineage, rather than presenting it as an independently verified breeder pedigree.

Cosmic Queen is known for an unusually vigorous, sativa-leaning growth pattern for an autoflower. Plants can become tall, highly branched and surprisingly substantial, with considerable stretch during the transition into flowering.

The Rinse Reserve selections appear to retain this characteristic. Rinse has specifically commented that the plants he has worked with were consistently very tall and vigorous, although the F5/F6 generations still displayed multiple phenotypes.

Flowers can range from relatively loose, elongated sativa-style structures to considerably denser, resin-heavy expressions. One documented F6 reproduction was harvested after approximately 12½ weeks, producing extremely sticky flowers covered in abundant resin.
