Additional Information
Low germination rates, has hermie trait and some flowered under 24 hrs light. Out of 12 seeds got a tiny female , a few males tiny also and a hermaphrodite. The ones I thought were auto flowering could have been hermaphrodites as I've had males flower under 24 hrs light cycle b4 but looked like a hermie to me. Wouldn't even consider ordering the GSC or Animal cookies from BCBD they most likely will just take ur cash an the ones I did get I got from Herbies with other strains that were great. There's too many quality breeders out there to use a quack "breeder" like BCBD. Also they don't have anything that can't be found elsewhere. Save ur cash and use it on GSC from Cali-connection or phantom cookies from GDP or almost every breeder has some form of the cookies now that wil germinate and grow, yield and give u dank bud for the same or cheaper prices.
11 of 12 seeds popped. They showed sex organs after 12 days in to the 12/12 cycle. 5 were female, 4 were male, and 2 were hermaphrodites that didn't show until around week 3 of flowering. An interesting, but undesirable phenotype dominated in the form of a very stout and excessively bushy plant with very airy flowers. Another had similar flowers, but stretched more. One solid pheno manifested from the five females. It featured rock hard nugs with a decent coat of trichomes, and a great bud to leaf ratio. I flowered them for 70 days. The yield was medium-high. After a few weeks of curing, a strong scent and flavor much like ivory soap presented. It's good enough that I keep it in regular rotation in my garden, but I wouldn't recommend growing it from seed.
I have literally been unable to find anyone who successfully grew this seed. I personally had 9 of 9 germinated seedlings die on me very mysteriously and later found that everyone who attempts to grow this strain has the same problem or they hermie or just don»t germinate to begin with. This is very suspicious, but not suprising given Bogus Crooked Bud Depots history of shady actions.
It is very unfortunate that BCBD have a history of straight up robbing their customers or supply them with phony seeds or just plain unviable seeds. I«d really like to see someone who successfully completed an animal cookies grow.
EDit update 10/7/2014
Well I was able to aquire viable animal cookie seeds and the strain is a hermie monster. I don't think BCBD is DEA like that other guy is suggesting, but they certainly do seem prone to hermie and fill up with seeds. Some pheno are spicy gross tasting and have a mild high at best, very little resin and I'm not sure that the genetics are even what they say. certainly have no legit GSC in them. I'd believe that Monsanto is trying to spread hermie or their RNA interruption technology before the DEA. Monsanto is actually trying to control all of cannabis genetics as of recently and if you know who Monsanto is then you know the shady tactics they use to get what they want.
