Topanga Cookies is an Indica-dominant feminized hybrid. Feminized seeds are prized by growers because they simplify the growing process. Like its parents, Topanga Cookies tends to stretch in height as it begins to bloom. Growers can limit the vertical stretch and increase the yield of this cultivar by using a variety of high-stress and low-stress training methods. The plants respond well to topping, fimming, super cropping, and other training techniques. The weight of the hefty colas may cause the branches to sag during the late flowering period. Staking or trellising the plants may prevent the branches from sagging.

Pest & Disease Control

Most OG and Cookies varieties are known to be susceptible to powdery mildew. Some phenotypes of Topanga Cookies also may be prone to powdery-mildew infections. By pruning the plants, providing sufficient air circulation and lighting, and keeping the humidity level low, growers can usually prevent powdery mildew from infecting the plants.
