The Original Z (formerly widely known as Zkittlez) is a clone-only cannabis cultivar originating from Northern California. The cultivar is widely associated with Dying Breed Seeds, Terp Hogz and 3rd Gen Family, who played a key role in its preservation and popularization within the modern cannabis community.

The variety became famous for its exceptionally sweet tropical fruit profile, setting a new benchmark for fruit-forward terpene expressions in modern cannabis breeding. Unlike many contemporary hybrids, The Original Z is characterized by an almost complete absence of heavy fuel or earthy aromas, instead expressing intense candy-like sweetness, tropical fruit and citrus notes.
