What i know of the Trainreck this strain will indeed need staking from the get go, as well as a decent veg stage to promote a decent root mass to get the plant to produce well. i can only guess at what the smells are like with this one the chemmical/fuely/lemon/piny form the wreck mixed with a more sweet doughy cookie smell should give something odd for-sure in her smell profile.
