Terpene Profile

Aggressive, sharp tropical fruit and sweet tarts is dominant. Fruit, melon, floral potpourri. One outlier pheno did exhibit musky, gassy terps. Limonene, pinene, and caryophyllene are dominant in most plants.

Effect

Euphoric and relaxing, Sex Melon is a great day-time smoke if you’re not in need of an energy boost. Good strain for stress and anxiety relief.

Plant Morphology

We found four phenotypes in our testing of the Sex Melon. All had incredible terps (think tropical bubblegum) and heavy trichome production. Towards the end of flowering, most phenos exhibited a gorgeous speckling of dark purple throughout their calyxes and trichomes; we called them our purple leopards.

Sex Melon has good internodal spacing and is not leafy, allowing for good airflow. Expect a small-moderate stretch in flower. 

Notes from the Growers

Sex Melon is an exciting new cross between Watermelon Slush [Lovin’ in Her Eyes] and our The Brunch *Lover’s Cut*. The Brunch *Lover’s Cut* is coated in enough sugar to leave Wilfred Brimley turning in his grave. She also carries a lot of deep purple in her genetics, which passed on to many of the offspring; the apple, spice, and gas terps paired well with the robust aroma of freshly sliced watermelon that permeates the Watermelon Slush. 

The cross between these two strains produced phenomenal results, with total cannabinoids topping 30%. The scent is intoxicating – tropical melons with a spicy background. Refreshing and relaxing, Sex Melon is a phenomenal strain. Expect an immediate mood boost, followed by a relaxing body high.
