An 85% Sativa, John Weed is a cannabis strain that every cerebral high lover has been expecting! In accordance with its rich appearance, it demonstrates a luxurious tropical scent with hints of peppermint, citrus and camomile. How was it created? First of all, our searching team came across a very special population of marijuana in Nepal, grown in the mountainous area (the Hilly region) by a local tribe that had been using this weed for their sacred rituals. The locals have a caste of people whose main duty is to look after the plantation where Herb of Wisdom grows. They claim that gods actually helped them to improve this weed significantly – who knows, breeding is half science, half magic indeed! Noticeably, its psychedelic impact was very impressive and unlike that of any other marijuana. We crossed that landrace variety with the best AK-47 XL batch grown by our team! That means John Weed descends from Nepalese, Thai, Colombian, Mexican and Afghani cannabis. Its flamboyant concentration of THC and terpenes (limonene, bisabolol, myrcene and euсaliptol) make this marijuana a promising variety in terms of medical use.
John Weed is hardy – but not hard on the grower! Its parent strain, AK-47 XL, is famously enduring and adaptive. By means of selection we strengthened those properties in this beautiful bush. Providing enough space (both for the roots and upper part) is crucial: most indoor plants grow 175-190 cm tall. The root space should be at least 32-35 liters. Outdoor samples may reach 250-265 cm height. John Weed sustains any training that is done appropriately: ScroG or LST, supercropping or SoG (for the hugest and healthiest plants), topping or FIM – whatever you feel confident about. Oftentimes users defoliate this kind of marijuana, especially in a grow room – removing 20-30% of the foliage can help better lighting for all parts of the bush, but don’t cut off all those leaves at once! The tropical heritage gives John Weed a bright color of green, a sweet fruity odor and an “airy”, fluffy type of blossoms. It definitely needs training for better height control as well as bigger yields. Blooming plants are very colorful, especially when lower leaves lose their nitrogen to provide for the ripening buds. When John Weed is ready for harvest, there’s thick moss of whitish trichomes and a great deal of crystals scattered all over the flowers! Harvest time for outdoor bushes is late October – early November.
So much for the science talk. What does John Weed taste like and how does it affect a user? With moderate portions, the influence is classic cerebral high: a euphoric sensation of well-being and joy dissolves any fatigue or negative emotions. On the inhale, this bud is mostly perceived as an orange and peppermint smoke. In 3-5 minutes that flavor wears out, leaving a herbal aftertaste – by this time the state of mind will have changed completely! John Weed stimulates physical and mental activity, wards off sleep and increases your motivation. Some clerks prefer to use such marijuana strains during their lunch break – that may be efficient, especially in a creative job. However, the best thing to do on John Weed is having fun your own way. Awesome for outdoor activities, for intimate intercourse or loud parties / gigs as well as meditation, yoga. Can be used to alleviate the symptoms of cognitive disorders, such as depression, PTSD, ADHD. Defeats nausea and mildly stimulates appetite. A John Weed edible keeps one dancing and talking for 4-6 hours, so it might be wise to make sure you have entertainment while it lasts. When smoked, this bud works for 2-3 hours.
